Official Club Release
FC Chur can confirm that the club will temporarily host its home fixtures at Espenmoos Stadium in St. Gallen for the upcoming period, while work continues to ensure that Obere Au meets the infrastructure requirements of the Swiss Super League.

This decision has been taken following a thorough assessment of league criteria and in close coordination with the relevant authorities. While Obere Au remains central to the club’s identity and long-term future, the stadium is currently unable to fully comply with Super League standards. The move to Espenmoos is therefore a temporary and necessary measure, designed to allow FC Chur to compete at the highest level without compromising regulatory obligations.
The club wishes to reassure supporters that this relocation does not represent a departure from Graubünden in principle or in intent. FC Chur remains firmly committed to Obere Au as its home and to the canton it represents. Every effort is being made to facilitate a return as soon as conditions allow, and the club views this period as a short-term solution rather than a shift in identity.
Espenmoos, the former home of FC St. Gallen prior to their move to the Kybunpark, offers a capacity of approximately 5,700, including seating for over 2,000 spectators, with stands on three of the four sides. While modest by Swiss Super League standards, the stadium provides a compliant and functional environment that allows FC Chur to host top-flight football while continuing its structural development.
The club recognises the inconvenience this move may cause to supporters, particularly those travelling from Graubünden, and appreciates the understanding shown during this transitional phase. FC Chur views the temporary use of Espenmoos not as a dilution of its roots, but as an opportunity to stabilise, grow and prepare for a sustainable future back at Obere Au.
Further information regarding matchday arrangements and supporter travel will be communicated in due course through official club channels.
