January and February may have passed quietly in the transfer market, but on the pitch it has been anything but calm. A run of poor results has seen Chur’s early-season dreams of a surprise push towards Europe fade rapidly, replaced by frustration and fatigue. Iñaki Arriola has rotated where possible, but a thin squad, an ageing core, and a constant drip of minor injuries have disrupted any rhythm. With momentum slipping away, the club has been left with no choice and has now turned inward – recalling two familiar young faces in search of energy, depth, and solutions. Mario Silva, who has been on loan at Vaduz, and Cedric Mivelaz, who returns from Delemont, both have featured in the second tier this season.

“This feels very on brand for Arriola. When things wobble, go back to youth, hunger, and players who actually want minutes. Silva + Mivelaz recalled = statement of intent. #TrustTheProcess”

“Cedric Mivelaz back home. A Graubünden lad who’s scored goals at every stop, even in struggling sides. Sometimes form doesn’t lie – even when the table does. #OneOfOurOwn”

“So Chur struggle for depth all winter… and now they recall two kids to fix it? Either brave or completely ridiculous. Probably both. #LateButNecessary”

“Silva makes sense immediately. Knows the system, presses well, already nearly 30 appearances for Chur. He gives Arriola rotation without structural change – huge right now.”

“Mivelaz is the more interesting recall. Proven scorer in weaker teams, which suggests self-sufficiency. Question is whether Arriola uses him as a reference point – or keeps the fluid front line intact.”
